In my eyes Stig is easily one of the best UNdressed men in rock - on & off the stage!
In the magazine interview the statement is made that "The 70s Australian scene is so fucking unknown outside the country" - I couldn't agree more, and to be honest as time goes on & dance music takes over the radio & TV it's almost unknown in THIS COUNTRY!
The world's most recent loss of Leon Russell has left a gaping hole in our house especially & I feel myself contemplating that age old "what is life?" question again.
The Space Man's combination of rock and intergalactic wonder is without a doubt one of the coolest mash ups known to man!
It's that time again!! Ozzy *The Wonder Cat* gets to pick an album. Tonight I held him up and his tiny little paw grabbed onto a fun one - J Geils Band's 1981 release "Freeze Frame".
Last night my dude & I made the trek up to The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers to see one of my favourite musicians; the 'silver fox' all silver foxes aspire to be- Mr Tim Finn!
Those of you who know me through gigs, online & random meetings would know that more often than not I come across as some kind of "overly sexual old dude loving dork who loves to swear". To be fair this description is pretty accurate and to be honest it takes a lot to make me blush.
I can't go on without discussing the whole reason for our return to the USA - Psycho Las Vegas! What a crazy 3 days of amazing bands, booze & all out debauchery. The lineup was amazing & the atmosphere was electric. Between the excitement of the crowd & the bands that were playing it was hard to find anyone without a smile (or a stoned grin).
We're working our way back through the treasure trove of records we have hoarded for over a decade & decided we really should let their "rightful owner" choose a few records to listen to. Tonight I held Ozzy (the wonder cat) up to the shelves & he picked out this gem!
So as of Tuesday I officially turned 29 which means I'm now in my 30th year! dum dum dummmmmmmmm *feel that suspense*!
